Welcome to The Adoption Tree,
The Adoption Tree is a website dedicated to the education, awareness and acceptance of adoption in Canada through my own experiences as an adoptee and hopeful adoptive parent. I was adopted in a closed adoption, searched for my birth parents, reunited with both my birth father and birth mother, and my husband and I are currently in the process of trying to adopt.
In sharing the details of my own adoption journey it is my hopes that this website will become a reliable and trustworthy reference for adoptees seeking information on adoption. I feel my story is important to share with others who are adopted, looking to adopt, who have adopted or who are adopting.
In addition to my blog, I want this website to be as interactive as possible! Please “leaf” through the contents of the website often as I will be updating and blogging often. I also encourage those interested to help grow the adoption tree with comments, suggestions, links and references.
